Under Windows Vista 7, 8 or 10 you may experience some difficulties trying to use Sound Solution XAP. In this case, after the installation be sure to:
- Disable UAC (User Account Control)
- Run setup and software with an user within the Administrators group
- Run setup and software as Administrator. Right click and choose "Run as Administrator"
- Temporarily disable Firewall and Antivirus during installation |
- Register xdevelpro.dll contained inside C:\Program Files\Xdevel\SoundSolutionXAP\ (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Xdevel\SoundSolutionXAP\ under 64 bit systems). In order to see xdevelpro.dll, you may need to allow visibility of hidden files.
1. Select xdevelpro.dll and right click to show context menu and select "Open with"
2. When prompted, click "Browse" and select the following application: C:\Windows\system32\regsvr32.exe
3. A Windows alert will inform you that the registration was successful
- Run the program as Administrator and using Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility
1. Right click "XAP.exe" and choose Properties then select the "Compatibility" tab
2. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode" and choose "Windows XP Service Pack 3" (more info: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows)
3. Check "Run this program as Administrator" below then click Ok. Now, you will be able to use Sound Solution XAP
