Emergency playlist

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

When a recorder receives silence, for example due to a technical problem, after an interval of time (which you can set in the configuration) you can open an emergency playlist which will play instead of the original source. At the end of the silence the recorder will revert to the original source after a security interval that you can configure.

The Emergency playlist is a directory of audio files, which are played in random mode. When emergency playlist is enabled, a ALRM flashing indicator will be activated in the main interface. Clicking Emergency (which become selectable when the playlist is active) allows access to the settings and controls of the playlist.

In the above display there are information about the current song. There's a volume control for the monitor audio device (which is configured in the recorder settings), and an audio level indicator for the encoder output. If you want to edit the playlist, you can add or remove files in the directory (using Windows Explorer) and click Update: the available songs will be updated. Clicking Next will play the next file: please note that the auto playlist plays files randomly and not sequentially. To play a specific file, double click on the appropriate title. It's also possible to manually seek a track back and forward, dragging the mouse on the progress bar at the top.
